Description
The original vessel was built in the USA in 1942 as a minesweeper, purchased in 1950 by Jacques Yves Cousteau and transformed, after extensive modifications and adaptations, into a fully equipped ocean research vessel. The equipment includes, among other things, an observation chamber in the bow, an oval diving bell, a Galéazzi pressure chamber, an inflatable boat for operation in shallow waters, a helicopter, and extensive underwater equipment.Prototype details:

Model kit:
This kit features a deep-drawn ABS hull and laser-cut wooden parts. Rudder, propeller shaft with stern tube, and propeller are designed for electric motor propulsion. All fittings are included along with construction plans and assembly instructions.
