Prototype: The class 52 locomotives of the railway company of the German Democratic Republic (Deutsche Reichsbahn) remaining in Belgium after the war were redesignated the class 26. These were the locomotives which were built in 1945 by Belgian locomotive factories and which were delivered shortly after the end of the war. The class 26 comprised the locomotives 26.001 to 26.100.
