Honda’s history in Formula One began when the company took the bold step of creating its own car, developing its own engine and entering a factory team for the 1964 season. In 1966, new regulations mandating 3-liter engines forced Honda to design a new car, the RA273. John Surtees replaced Richie Ginther as Honda’s lead driver in 1967, and an improved version showed promise by achieving 3rd place at the South African Grand Prix. This is an updated reissue of the Honda RA273 1/12 kit (with photo-etched metal parts), originally released in 2015, featuring an updated instruction manual (with added tire engraving painting instructions), new packaging, and a new double-sided A3 brochure with photos of the real car.
